About this artwork
A quiet village nestles under a blanket of snow. In this artwork, Snow, MC Escher captures the serene beauty of a winter's day. The intricate details of the buildings and the surrounding landscape are beautifully contrasted against the white snow, creating a sense of tranquility and peace. The composition is dominated by the stark white of the snow, which covers the rooftops and the ground, reflecting the light and creating a sense of calm. The buildings, with their detailed architecture, stand out against the snow, adding depth and interest to the scene.
