About this artwork
A lone bird stands proudly, its form outlined in bold black. This is Standing Bird Front View, a compelling study by Josef Albers. The artist's hand is evident in the deliberate crosshatching, creating areas of shadow and light that give the bird a sense of dimension and life. The stark contrast of black and white is stark, yet the image remains delicate, inviting closer inspection. Ideal between bookshelves or above a workspace.
