About this artwork
A cascade of fabric spills downward, its folds catching light and shadow. This Time, by Sam Gilliam, plays with gravity and color in ways few artists dare. The artwork feels alive, as if the hues might shift when you're not looking.
The composition is a dance of crimson, ochre, and cobalt. The fabric's creases create natural divisions, guiding the eye through the piece like a river carving a canyon. Each fold tells a story, a testament to the artist's hand and vision.
This poster thrives in spaces with room to breathe. A wide hallway or an open studio would let it command attention without competition.
