About this artwork
A lattice of fine lines fills the frame in Untitled by Nasreen Mohamedi. Thin crosshatching and scratches layer upon each other, forming subtle variations. Light traces of graphite dance across the paper, varying in density and direction. Beneath a glowing lamp, these intricate details come alive. In a quiet corner, this poster invites close inspection. It complements a room with ample lighting and a subdued palette. This is not an abstraction you will see all at once. Each time you look, new lines reveal themselves. Hang it in a space where you can step back and study it in solitude. It's a harmonious blend of simplicity and complexity.
