About this artwork
Splashes of cobalt and ochre dance across a field of white. This is Untitled (l. L233; G. 820) by Sam Francis, a study in movement and restraint. The colors seem to float, suspended in time, as if caught in a moment of pure, joyful expression.
The white background is not empty but active, a canvas where color takes flight. The cobalt and ochre are not mere splashes but deliberate strokes, each one a testament to the artist's hand. The contrast between the vivid hues and the stark white creates a dynamic tension, a visual rhythm that draws the eye.
This poster brings energy to a quiet corner, a spark of creativity in a study or a dash of inspiration in a hallway. It invites contemplation and conversation, a focal point in any space.
