About this artwork

Two rectangles, one above the other, dominate the canvas. This is Untitled (no. 12 and 13), a study in contrast and color by Gunther Forg. The top rectangle, a muted ochre, sits above a deeper, more intense field of burnt sienna. The division between the two is stark, unadorned, creating a visual tension. The simplicity of the composition belies its complexity, inviting contemplation. This print commands attention in a minimalist living room or a modern office space.
