About this artwork
Two rectangles hover in a salmon field. This is Mark Rothko's Untitled (Red and Orange on Salmon), a study in color and form. The simplicity of the composition draws the viewer in, inviting contemplation. The red rectangle, slightly larger, rests at the bottom, grounded and solid. Above it, the orange rectangle floats, its edges softly defined. The salmon background, neither warm nor cool, creates a space where these shapes exist in quiet dialogue. The colors are muted yet rich, their interaction subtle but undeniable. This poster suits a study or library, where the mind is already inclined to wander and ponder. It asks for a quiet corner, a place of reflection.Questions about Untitled (Red and Orange on Salmon)
