About this artwork
A single, bold numeral dominates the canvas. In Untitled Ulae S13, Jasper Johns presents a study in simplicity and form. The figure is stark, rendered in a deep, unyielding black against a pale ground. The background is a field of quiet texture, almost like parchment. It holds the weight of the numeral, giving it space to breathe. There is no embellishment, no distraction. Just the interplay of figure and field, a quiet dialogue between presence and absence. This poster suits spaces that appreciate restraint. A study, a library, or a minimalist gallery wall would welcome its quiet authority.Questions about Untitled Ulae S13
