About this artwork
Endless coils of cord and string fill the space. Vertiginous Detour by Eva Hesse is a web of lines, a labyrinth of repetition. It draws you in, then leaves you to find your own way out.
The strings are loose, tangled, and overlapping. They create a sense of chaos and disorder, yet there is a rhythm to it. The strings are white, stark against the background, creating a contrast that is both sharp and soft.
This poster brings a sense of intrigue to a quiet corner, a study, or a hallway where you can pause to trace the paths.
