About this artwork
Clean edges and smooth surfaces define White On White. Ellsworth Kelly's work plays with subtle variations in texture and light, creating a quiet dialogue between form and space. The artwork consists of two white panels, slightly offset, creating a barely-there shadow line that adds depth to the composition. The simplicity of the white-on-white palette belies the complexity of its execution, where every minute detail counts. This poster thrives in a space with natural light, where the changing daylight subtly animates the surface throughout the day.Questions about White On White
