About this artwork
A glowing sun rests atop a mound in Theodoros Stamos' White Sun-mound. This artwork from 1963 is a study in contrasts, where light meets earth in a harmonious blend.
The sun, a radiant white orb, sits atop a textured mound. The background is a soft, muted field of color, allowing the sun and mound to command attention. Stamos' use of color is subtle yet effective, creating a sense of depth and dimension.
This print fits well in minimalist spaces, where its simplicity can be fully appreciated. It works particularly well in a quiet study or a serene bedroom.
